This course provides an overview of First Aid and CPR techniques for new parents and family members. It is designed to give all family members the tools and skills necessary to preserve life, prevent further injuries, and care for the consequences of injury until more advanced medical personnel respond.

8 hour course
3 year certification in Child Care First Aid and CPR
Includes CPR Level C (Adult, Child, Baby)
Includes Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and EpiPen certification
Conducted by a certified instructor

Who should attend?

Any family member (parents, grandparents, children). No prerequisite is required.

How do I prepare?

You should dress comfortably (you will be practicing CPR on the floor).
Bring a pen for note taking.

Disease transmission prevention
The unconscious person
Obstructed airways in children and infants
CPR for children and infants
The use of a defibrillator and EpiPen
Bleeding and shock
Sudden illness (asthma, allergies, diabetes, epilepsy)
Poisonings, bites, and stings
Sprains, strains, and fractures
Heat and cold injuries
